I don’t know how anyone could give this place anything but five stars. Exceptional service, food was impeccable and the closest thing I’ve had to the food in Italy I’ve had. Owner was incredibly friendly. Very laid back atmosphere. We had appetizers, sandwiches, and the made in house pasta dishes. Also had the desserts. We loved everything.
It's not that big of a restaurant but they do have outdoor seating and it does get busy! The staff was friendly and chatted with us a bit. Food tastes great and like what I expected Italian food to taste.
I’ve been dying to try their food, and finally I went this past Thursday. The food was amazing, and the staffs were very friendly. Sadly, they were out of my go-to dessert, a tiramisu, due to high demand. I had Nutella & strawberry crepes, and my god, those were delicious! I’ll definitely go back for more delicious Italian food and my tiramisu!
Dal Grano in McLean is a hidden gem! Their fresh, made-to-order pasta is absolutely delicious—authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The staff is incredibly attentive and warm, making every visit feel special. It’s also very family- and kid-friendly, which we really appreciate. Whether it’s a casual dinner or a cozy night out, Dal Grano always delivers a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!
Pasta was so delicious! Their new appetizer, sesame tuna salad, was also great.
Excellent, fresh food and service. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated but really enjoyed all the smells as we were waiting for a table to be available. It was clear to me that most people were both locals and regulars. I asked a local person what their favorite items were and while they enjoyed many things on the menu her favorite was the pasta with sausage and broccoli, the tiramisu and Amicone for red wine which we really enjoyed. I ordered all the menu items recommended and was not disappointed. The pasta is all made fresh in house, see picture of fresh pasta case. Staff was excellent and knowledgable. We also tried the gazpacho which had both great taste and texture. They serve fresh baked foccacia which was also very good. Highly recommend this restaurant and would go back often if I lived in the area.
Ate here at the end of July, while visiting the area from Atlanta. A quick Google search for outstanding local restaurants pointed us to Dal Grano. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive.
Neighborhood gem. Homemade pasta al dente. Interesting shapes. Cream sauce not too heavy. Portions average to small. Great dessert.
